I graduated in May 2011 with a BA in Business Administrationfrom Tuskegee University. I want to thank the Giving Back Corporation and Mr. Sagoes for believing in me. Both my parents were incarcerated at the time and I was desperate for help. I applied to the Giving Back Corporation and was selected to receive one of the scholarships. The money helped me with my books and Mr. Sagoes' words of encouragement throughout my college years meant so much to me. I will never forget the Giving Back Corporation and I will ask anyone to support it. After all, Mr. Sagoes and Giving Back believed in me when I didn't believe in me. Thank you so much.

I graduated from Pomona College in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. During my tenure at Pomona College, I was fortunate enough to have received funding from the Giving Back Corporation (GBC) which covered the cost of my course books and materials. As a first generation college student, the scholarship provided to me by the GBC allowed me to exert more effort and focus on my studies rather than worry about how I was going to purchase books for the following semester. The year I was awarded the scholarship I had the opportunity to meet Ms. Juanita Moore and Mr. Brock Peters. The stories I heard regarding these two individuals inspired me to continue striving for success, and to remain an agent for change in my community. I am currently working toward a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology at Howard University, and the Giving Back Corporation is still and will always be a significant part of my life. Mr. Ken Sagoes, the founder of the GBC has made countless sacrifices to ensure that students like me have the resources we need to reach our maximum potential at our academic institutions. I have witnessed Mr. Sagoes in action, and to call him and the works that he does in the community amazing would be an understatement. I constantly encourage all my family and friends to support the Giving Back Corporation in any way they can. In a climate where educational programs and funding opportunities are being cut left and right, it is a relief to know that the GBC is continuing to do their part to support tomorrow's leaders. Thank you Giving Back Corporation.

Giving Back Corporation helped me make the final decision of going to College. It helped cover expenses which I could not cover. I graduated from Hofstra University in New York with ia Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Minor in Philosophy. In January 2011, I started an entry position at the United Nations. All this would not have been possible without GOD, and the help of Mr. Ken Sagoes and the Giving Back Corporation. My success will always be a motivating factor in "giving back" to ensure a brighter future of youths in the community. Much of this I saw from the examples set for me by the Giving Back Corporation. I am also proud to say that I am one of the founding members of past students awardees that joining together to form the GBC Youth Board. We hope to give back tothose coming after us just as the Giving Back Corporation gave back to us.
