I graduated from Baylor University in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. Before attending Baylor, I was very honored and fortunate to receive scholastic funding from the Giving Back Corporation to help make tuition affordable. The Giving Back Corporation purchased textbooks and other classroom resources that I was not able to afford alone. Being the first member of my family to attend one of the top 100 Nationally recognized Universities in America, I am very proud to say that the Giving Back Corporation tumed my dream of being an educated black akthr man with a degree into a reality. Moreover, I would like to personally thank Mr. Ken Sagoes for always reaching out to me, giving a valiant effort to uplift me in a time of need. I am currently an IT Developer, Staff Coordinator, and Campus Recruiter at Hewlett-Packard. My hope is that I can leverage my service to the community in a similar fashion as the Giving Back Corporation to uplift the youths of America who strive for success. Again, none of my career development would have been possible had it not been for Ken Sagoes and the Giving Back Corporation who "gave back" and helped develop a leader within their own community.

Sabella Maxwell

I graduated from Grambling State University in December of 2009. As a member of a struggling family, my mother encouraged my twin brother and me to attend college. With that being said, I leamed about Grambling at the age of six, and it was always the college I wanted to attend. Being awarded the scholarship from the Giving Back Corporation assisted me greatly. I found that while some of my classmates started without books, I was fortunate. I was awarded a book scholarship that to some seemed small, but in the life of a college student, made a world of difference. The stress of buying books was lifted from me and for that I am forever gracious to the GBC-Giving Back Corporation. Troubles in college appear even after tuition is paid and I am happy that Mr. Sagoes is aware of that and is there to help. Thank you greatly Mr. Sagoes and the entire GBC team.

Daveon Swan

I would like to take the time to thank the Giving Back Corporation for the contributions to my Undergraduate educational expenses. With their help, and the help of my community I am the first in my family to have attended college and I have received my Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies with a minor in African American Studies at Loyola Marymount University. The mission of this organization has inspired my life's work. I am now Minister Daveon Swan and while pursuing my Masters of Science in Church Management at Villanova University I am privileged to work to doing community organizing and social work. Thank You Mr. Sagoes and GBC for inspiring me to give back.
