I graduated from University of California, Davis June 2010, andam currently in the UC Davis School of Medicine Post baccalaureate graduate program in preparation for medical school. First and foremost I commend Mr. Ken Sagoes for his hard work and dedication to the advancement of students desiring education. The efforts of the Giving Back Corporation demonstrate the importance of striving to your greatest potential, but also recognizing that your actions may uplift and inspire others. The oldest sibling in a single parent home of four, leaving to go away for college was a hard concept for me. Not wanting to be a financial burden on my mother, but also concerned about outstanding fees for loans, the Giving back Book Scholarship was a key solution in covering the costs of my 1st year course materials. In addition, I appreciate how Mr. Sagoes continues to contact me even after my undergraduate career and continues to offer his support. The GBC is truly a program worth recognition and I am forever thankful.

I am a freshman at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennesseeand majoring in Psychology. I want to thank the Giving Back Corporation for my scholarship. It was really needed and the money has helped me purchase some of my books. It was an honor to see so many people that I have only seen on television or in the movies. I was touched by some of the stories I heard. When we students were acknowledged at the event, my parents were so proud. When I complete my studies at Fisk University, I will give back to my community like the Giving Back Corporation gave tome.

Coming from a very culturally diverse high school where minoritieswas the majority, opportunities were slim to none. With a focused mind and a supporting family I was sure that my opportunity to succeed awaited me post graduating. The Giving Back Corporation supplied that claim with assurance by providing a scholarship to me and four other individuals alike. Having support from another foundation besides your family goes along way spiritually for today's youth; I know it did for me. I believe all those who physically died are those who physically lived, but those who are spiritually remembered are those who chose to give time, effort, or finances; manifesting destiny in every chance given. The Giving Back Corporation met all those requirements with regard to my life; I am glad that someone believes in today's youth enough to give them a chance. Acknowledgment is the gift that keeps on giving, I am thankful that someone besides my family acknowledged the fact that I am striving to be something great. Mr. Sagoes is a hard working honest man with intent to make this world a better place. His effort partially allowed me to be where I am today, Studying Philosophy and Ethics at Arizona State University. I aspire to be a great Motivational Speaker and Author. Mr. Sagoes and the Giving Back Corporation are proud supporters of my dreams and the dreams of my brothers and sisters in this generation. Thank you!
